Hi, I’m Peter Shankman, founder of Help a Reporter Out (HARO) and now Source of Sources (SOS). I built this platform to make it easier for:

Journalists to quickly find credible sources
Sources to get meaningful publicity by sharing their expertise.

Up to three times a day, you’ll get an email with queries by journalists from various media outlets. If a journalist asks about a topic you know a lot about, simply reply directly to the source. It’s that easy.

Here’s the rub, though: ONLY REPLY IF YOU ACTUALLY HAVE SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE TO ADD. If you pitch a reporter off topic even once, and it gets back to me, you’re gone. No exceptions, no appeals.

How Source of Sources Works

Up to three times a day, you’ll get an email filled with queries from journalists across top media outlets.

If you’re an expert on the topic, reply directly to the journalist.
Keep it on topic — reporters need useful insights, not sales pitches.

Important: If you reply off-topic or spam reporters, you will be removed from the list. No exceptions, no appeals.
